…but when it comes to compensation, performance, and satisfaction it’s far from one unified market.
After analysing 500+ professionals globally, one thing is clear:
👉 There is no such thing as “the HotelTech market”
👉 It’s a set of micro-markets with completely different realities
Here are a few key insights:
→ 65.8% of the workforce sits in revenue-adjacent roles
→ 69.5% are senior level or above
→ 56.4% work fully remote
→ Median total compensation: $89.5k
→ Top 10% earn $229.5k+ (4.5× the bottom decile)
But the more uncomfortable insights:
→ Only 40.4% of variable earners hit their full bonus
→ Sales is the best paid… but not the happiest
→ OTA & Metasearch = highest pay, lowest sentiment
→ Compensation AND satisfaction vary massively by product category
→ Women report significantly lower employee advocacy (–3.4 vs +12.1 eNPS)
→ Median base salary is equal between men and women ($69.5k) BUT realised earnings are not ($15k diff)
→ Women ask for raises less often
This report wouldn’t have been possible without:
